On the nose, this wine shows ripe black fruits: black raspberry and prune, with a touch of eucalyptus, pepper, and a smidgeon of earth. The palate offers a silky smooth texture, warm black raspberry, black cherry, and plum, with a touch of spice. Acidity and tannins are medium, appropriate for food but not so high that they’re overbearing when drunk by itself. Pair with burgers, skirt steaks, cheese, tacos.
Now $8.50!*
Juan Gil Monestrell
It has a very dark cherry colour with purple
tones. In the nose it has powerful aromas of red berries, toasted and smoked
notes from their aging in the oak barriques. It has good structure
with ripe and sweet tannins. In the mouth it is very long, and with a
perfect balance between fruit, alcohol and the oak tones, which make it very
pleasant and easy to drink.
Joan Simo Les Sentius Priorat Tempranillo Bright ruby-red. High-toned aromas of crystallized raspberry, currant, leather and game. Round, sweet and broad, with moderately deep flavors of raspberry, violet and bitter chocolate. Finishes with fine tannins that come across as slightly dry owing to the wine's modest density of material. Now $39.50!*
