Sheridan's definitely has historical appeal. It began as "The Lakeview Inn"
established in 1911 by owner, Frank Sztukowski. In 1920, the old wooden
structure was replaced and named "The Sheridan Hotel" and "Palm Gardens"
tavern. In 1968, it was remodeled and named "The Fountain Blue."
In 2007, the name "Sheridan’s" was revived by proud new owners, Lee Barczak and
Jane Schilz. The building underwent a complete renovation to create this
stylish boutique hotel and American bistro for all to enjoy.

Welcome Chef Dustin Starling…
This former North Carolinian was inspired by his late Grandmother’s Southern
“soul food” which began his love for cuisine and cooking at a young age.
Inspiration continued as he began his career training under the accomplished
Vic Kuper and Andy Deutmeyer, former chef-owners of "Blend" Restaurant in
Cedar Rapids. “They educated me on aspects of cooking that I never thought
existed,” Dustin recalls about his former mentors.
Chef Dustin is also inspired by food itself and enjoys eating out often. He
distinctly remembers tasting black truffles, foie gras and Pho for the first
time, all in the same year! Chef continues to inspire his own palate, and
those of our patrons, with his delicious culinary creations.
He
uniquely describes his cooking style as “new age/French-innovation with
a soul-food influence.” The flavors of many different cultures make their way
into his dishes making them distinctively his own. Chef is happy to “make a
splash in the Cudahy/South Shore area and have the creative freedom to make
some interesting and awesome food,” and Sheridan’s is happy to have him!
